Andrew “Drew” Straley is a native of Maryland and enlisted into the United States Marine Corps Reserves after graduating from Catonsville High School in 1986. He was commissioned an officer in the United States Marine Corps after graduating from the University of Maryland (Baltimore) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. As a Marine Corps officer he served in multiple command and staff assignments within both Marine Corps ground and aviation units as a communications and IT officer. After 4 combat tours to both Iraq and Afghanistan, two Master’s degrees and 30 years of honorable service, he retired from military service in 2017 and settled in Chesapeake Virginia as a single father of triplet daughters.
While raising triplets over the course of his military service, he moved often and was both a tenant and leased properties to renters. With this perspective of being both a tenant and renter he gained valuable insights in what works and more importantly what doesn’t. He learned what to do and what NOT to do as an owner. This insight enabled opportunity for Drew to turn a winning strategy into a winning formula. In 2020, Straley Enterprises LLC was established and has been growing ever since. Drew along with his wife Joelle, now operate Straley Enterprises with over $2.2 million in assets under management in south east Virginia area.
